Ceramic Doctor Hi-Blade®
Ceramic Doctor Hi-Blade® is a high grade doctor blade with improved wear and abrasion resistance. Instilled with the history and reliability that we have built up over many years as ceramic doctor blades pioneer, improved wiping properties can be achieved through our surface treatment of steel doctor blades.
K Ceramic Doctor HQ® is our flagship doctor blade that we proudly recommend to our customers with confidence. It is manufactured using both our unique grinding technology and surface treatment. These blades provide greatly improved coating adhesion, wear and abrasion resistance.
Advantages:
- Reduce printing stains such as doctor lines, streaking and hazing.
- Reduces ink contamination
- Blade edge fits to the cylinder surface with ease to reduce friction and provides excellent doctor cutting.
- Wears down finely and uniformly in small particles.
- Reduces brittleness and cracking risk on coating area, reduce risk of mechanical damage.
- Longer lifespan and extremely low doctor blade tip contact friction thanks to special ceramic coating technology.

Steel Doctor Hi-Blade®
By using only the highest quality Swedish steel, Steel Doctor Hi-Blade® is manufactured based on thorough quality control, from materials and sharpening through to inspection. Our many years of experience and know-how shine through in the finest details of our products. In addition to our best selling Steel Doctor Hi-Blade®, we offer various types of steel doctor blade for different purpose and application:
Gold Doctor Hi-Blade® – With additional high volume of wear and abrasion resistant materials added to ordinary high grade Swedish steel, it offers outstanding durability and plate adhesion.
Doctor Hi-Blade® R-ST – Treated with unique surface grinding technology, it is recommended for application with half tone irregularity difficulties.
Stainless Steel Doctor XP – Recommended for water-based or acid-based inks thanks to its higher durability and corrosion resistance. Made from special Swedish stainless steel.
Doctor Hi-Blade® Flexotip – Specially designed for flexographic chamber systems with excellent durability. Since both sides of the blade contacting surface are rounded, it is suitable for all types of anilox rolls. Unlike other Doctor Hi-Blade® models, the blade edge does not bend, preventing ink leakage and thus reduces the frequency of blade replacement, ensuring high quality print and superior productivity over extended production run. Ceramic coating is available upon request.

Plastic Doctor Blade
For general printing and coating, Plastic Doctor Blade is your best choice. It is suitable for use with organic solvent, oils and fats, acid solutions and weak alkaline solutions. Various model available for different applications. Heat resistance allows stable use of Hi-PET up to around 150°C, Hi-PE up to around 120°C and Hi-POM up to around 140°C possible.
Features:
- Softer than iron, and adhere tightly to cylinder, it is able to prevent ink leakage from chamber
- Excellent wear resistance contribute to extension lifespan of anilox rolls, gravure cylinders and coating cylinders.
- Thanks to its excellent shape, softness and elasticity of blades, wiping performance is maintained even during extended production run.
- Suitable for water-based and solvent based ink aas well as coating medium.
- Unlike steel doctor blade, plastic doctor blade are easily handled as they are rust resistant.
- Safe to handle and prevent accidental injuries.
- Ink and coating materials are easily washed up.
